A festive ride on the illustrious Bernina Express, one of the most picturesque trains in the world, beginning in Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland, and travelling through the Alpine landscape to the town of Tirano in Italy. Along the way, the train visits the Morteratsch Glacier, the Landwasser Viaduct and Lago Bianco, meeting people who live and work in the area including an artisan cheese-maker, a creator of traditional Christmas toys and a multi-generational musical farming family. Narrated by Hugh Bonneville.
